White wine
Cannellino
Cannellinodifrascati is our sweet wine whose name is the same name as the Cannellino di Frascati DOCG designation. It is a white wine and the grapes we use to make it are completely dried on the vine due to the perfect weather conditions of our territory. Cannellino has very ancient origins, in fact there is already talk of this wine in 1700; the production area is right in Tuscolo, the same area where our Vitus-Vignaioli Tuscolani winery is located. It was and is produced with the last grapes harvested from mid to late October. In fact, in the Castelli Romani area, during the harvest, it was usual to make several harvests in order to select the grapes at the right level of ripeness. The last bunches that remained on the vines were destined precisely for the production of Cannellino, an almost sweet wine with an intense color that the Osti Romani loved so much! (Oste is a traditional roman nickname that means restaurant owner)
